Supreme Court rules in Janus labor union case

Glad to see it. Too bad it only addresses public unions (government workers shouldn’t be allowed to unionize anyway) but it will filter down.

Democrats just took a YUGE financial hit.

Why? The union could take the Obamacare route that they helped pass. Double or triple what the paying folks are charged to cover the cost of those that can’t or won’t pay. What’s wrong with that? Or why not make it free for everyone? Free college. Free healthcare. Why not free union dues? It’s the socialist way!

Yep.

The link is to the top 50 political donators during the 2016 election cycle.

Positions 5, 9, 11, 12, 15, 22, 28, 38, 41 and 44 are all unions that have donated hundreds of millions to democrats.

Another 5-4 decision?

Unions are not Socialist.

Nice try though.

LOL!!! Sure.

“In the following decades, former SP (Socialist Party) members rose to top positions in their unions and, sometimes, in the broader labor movement. These include Walter Reuther (president, United Auto Workers and president, CIO; vice-president, AFL-CIO); his brother Victor (international director, UAW); and Sidney Hillman (president, Amalgamated Clothing Workers and vice-president, CIO). Later, prominent members of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee, a predecessor to DSA, included Jerry Wurf (president, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees) and William Winpisinger (president, International Association of Machinists). As leaders of major industrial unions, they often had a significant role in Democratic Party politics, meeting with U.S. presidents and promoting important social legislation.

As a member of a labor union I can say that Unions aren’t socialist.

They are very Capitalist.

Sure, you can say it, but it isnt true. Did you even read the article? Educate yourself, man. Unions= democrats=socialism.

definitely.

uh huh

“workers of the world unite”
Yep… a very capitalist slogan.

Libs are hilarious!

they now believe their own lies? And they think we should too?

activist libs aren’t even pretending to be constitutional anymore.

maybe if unions actually spent all their money on representing the employees instead of representing their favorite politician, this ruling would have never been required. But you people dont know when to stop pushing your agenda. So now you gotta eat it. Pull my finger.

I’m all for not requiring workers to pay union dues if they choose not to join. Supreme Court got it right in my opinion. I do believe however the workers who do opt out should not benefit from union negotiations. Seems simple enough to me.

An article by the Socialist Party of the USA?

Yeah… they are super influential in politics now.

Unions are Capitalistic. They are a counterweight for labor during contract negotiations.

I know that it somehow feels good to think that they are ideology factories for people carrying around little red books… but nothing could be further from the truth.

What Union bug is that?

It’s not! Just a keyboard warrior pushing fake news…

workers of the world unite

it is a universal socialist slogan. And it is the very essence of the phrase “labor union”.

Oh… now you will say “I dunno… neber herd it”

no need to be. if the union just sticks to representing employees instead of politicians, your ranks will increase.

Man… the red scare all over again.

Unions are working for equitable pay, safety, health care and retirement.

The big issue on contract negotiations with my union roving on right now is to push back on the long workdays without adequate rest.

Hardly the proletariat uprising.
