I see. Do you mean the people who want us to hold their hand, lead them to the information to explain our position, and then refuse to read it, acknowledge it, and still demand we write an essay to rehash the past twenty years, in order to bring them up to speed? Those people? :sunglasses:

Going that route is better than violating their Christian beliefs.

Yes those people!

going that way makes equality the name of the game.

everyone cant buy his creations.

Allan

If he cant provide wedding wedding cakes to gays, he cant provide them for straights.

allan

Well that violates the 1st amendments(forcing one to do something that violates their religious beliefs) but as long as gays choose to be the south end of north bound horses it is the safe route for Christians.

And that’s the rub, isn’t it? Getting married is legal. I could see a business owner refusing to sell a product or service, if he knew it was going to be used to perform an illegal act.

Besides, the cake has nothing to do with the wedding ceremony, so neither the baker of the cake, or the cake participate in the wedding ceremony.

Besides, many people get married without a cake, which is just more proof that it’s not needed to get married.

You guy lost. Yes he can.

you obviously didnt read the link I posted. He is not providing wedding cakes to anyone.

Allan

He’s not providing wedding cakes anymore but the gay couple didn’t get a big payola either.

The 1st Amendment is law.

A part of the BoR even.

Equality for everybody but the property owner. Can he drag them in a demand they buy a cake under penalty of law?

No.

However a gay shop owner can’t refuse him service because of his religion either. (Under both federal and state law.)

Experiments have been done to see if gay bakers would bake cakes with christian messages on them and quite often they will not.

Christians just aren’t nasty enough to sue them over it. Better standards.

Really,

Please share with us where this occurred.

If you are talking about the Michigan ā€œinvestigative videosā€ - Pssst sexual orientation isn’t covered under Michigan PA law.

That’s the claim. I know, I know, there are two cases…

Perhaps you didn’t understand my question. I wasn’t asking about reversing roles.

Is religion?

Yes

Interesting.
