It would appear slippery slopes are one again real. Imagine that.

That was Iran’s money.
Before it was given back (before I get this objection back in return), it was frozen in an escrow account. It wasn’t government money. The government couldn’t use it.
I don’t know how many times this has to be repeated before it sinks in.
Probably a lot because you never hear it on the CEC.

One slight problem with this theory - I didn’t vote for Obama (if that’s who you’re referring to). I despised him as much as I despise Trump - and for many of the same reasons.
But thanks for playing…

Talk about high entertainment value, you better hope the liberals don’t abandon their raving over Russia, the Mueller report, mean tweets, wrong think, impeachment, free ponies and the end of our planet in 12yrs.

Haven’t read the whole thread yet, so not sure if this was mentioned.
Am I correct in reading the decision that the stay is terminated immediately if the 9th doesn’t grant the government cert or upon the time of their decision?

Madison disagrees in Federalist 51:
These inventions of prudence cannot be less requisite in the distribution of the supreme powers of the State. But it is not possible to give to each department an equal power of self-defense. In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates.

Sales pitch. Although I believe Madison really tried to believe.

Indeed, for all of his genius, he didn’t quite have the forward looking vision that Hamilton had that ultimately made our Republic so great.

Just spitting truth.
We wouldn’t have made it past 1860 without Hamilton’s foundation in place.

We would have been a shell of a nation without Hamilton. The financial troubles alone would have crushed us without his plans. I agree that Madison was key as well, but he just didn’t have the forethought and vision that allowed us to end up being the juggernaut of a nation we are now due to our financial and manufacturing capabilities that Hamilton propped up.

Without Jeffersonian influences, including the fact that his vision ruled for some 30 years (early aughts to the 30s), we would have become much more authoritarian and economically divided than we are now…perhaps sooner.
Hamilton’s plans did help create an engine of economic growth but a lot of that day’s “forgotten” paid a terrible human price because of what he did.

Let’s get on with it and build that wall. Even the SCOTUS realizes it’s the correct thing to do.

No, SCOTUS simply said Trump can reallocate funds as he sees fit in an emergency.
They made no judgement as to whether the wall “is the right thing to do”.
And as has been pointed out, there are still other suits coming. I think this one was a narrow ruling that the Sierra Club couldn’t bring the suit?

Jefferson was a sociopath who wanted us to go the way of the way of the republicans in France. He cheered on the murderous Jacobins. ■■■■ him.
