Supreme Court is done with oral arguments for the 2022 term, decisions should start to come in early May

The Supreme Court has finished up oral arguments for the 2022 term, but there will be a new schedule for releasing cases. Instead of Monday’s, it will now be Thursday’s.

Scheduled opinion days are May 11, 18, 25 and June 1, 8, 15, 22.

Major cases left:

October sitting

Sackett v EPA (Waters of the United States
Allen v Milligan (Alabama redistricting)
National Pork Producer’s Council v Ross (California pork regulations)

November sitting

Students for Fair Admissions v North Carolina and Harvard (Affirmative action)

December sitting

U.S. v Texas (Immigration)
303 Creative v Elenis (First Amendment in a public accommodation setting)
Moore v Harper (Independent State Legislature Theory)

January sitting

Glacier Northwest v Teamsters (Does NLRB preempt tort remedies)

February sitting

Biden v Nebraska & DoE v Brown (Student loan forgiveness)

March sitting

Jack Daniels v VIP Products (Parody)

April sitting

Tyler v Hennepin County (Theft of equity)

Plenty of other pending cases as well, but those are the most notable.

I see a dismissed as improvidently granted in Moore v Harper’s future.

It’s almost like they saved something they could all agree on for last.
