The other 10% showed negative test results.

Good points.

I’d still prefer large gatherings like this required vaccinations or negative tests. Seems like common sense.

Of course they did.

It’s only a super spreader when it’s not a lib-approved activity.

Same dance, different hat.

I just wish the leftists that are fuming about something like this rally would show the same concern, actually it should be a heck of a lot more concern , concerning hundreds of thousands of illegals being allowed to cross the border, a goodly number infected, and shipped to various states (mostly red).

They give what can only be seen as a wink and a nod to that since it is Biden policy.

****Different.

By 2030 we’ll own nothing and like it. I bet the remaining elitist baby boomers hope they live long enough to see it.

Of course there will be more cases in a county of 5.1 million population vs. one with 28,000

Of course no one said any different. But to claim only 200 have gotten sick and no spike in that area is not true.
Maybe you should go back and see what I responded to.

There wasn’t a spike in Cook county. Cases we trending up prior to Lolla (July 29 - August 1) and contnued to trend up, but no sudden jump.

Contrast that to Meade County, where Sturgis is, and you see a clear spike after the rally (August 6 - August 15)

Can we all agree that higher populations will typically see higher numbers of infections? How do we know if an event resulted in a spike? What metric? Perhaps if we saw the rate per 100,000 go up dramatically after the event? That seems like a reasonable metric.

I hope seeing Smashmouth was worth it.

Thats a nice looking pic. A beautiful woman on a nice looking horse carrying the flag.

Reminds me of a postcard I saw. I am paraphrasing. There are 2 things I love the most in life. Fast horses and beautiful women.
So when I die all I ask is to turn me into a womans saddle so I can be between my most loved things.

No it’s not.

Most people going to Sturgis camp out. You could not fit a quarter of the people attending Sturgis in the local bars.

perhaps, if you have no increase in testing so the base remains static. If however there is corresponding increase in testing, then its kind of meaningless datum.

Was there an increase in testing?

The number of tests will increase because the number of infections increase. People get tested when they feel symptoms. Besides, if the positivity rate increases alongside an increase in cases that’s clear confirmation that it is not simply more testing finding asymptomatic cases.
