Yeah. This one is about super duper important stuff like kneeling that everyone should be outraged over not trivial matters like harassing grieving parents

He was responding to the Prog/Crit Fall Offensive.

Break him.

Oh and by the way, if Trump ever smuggles drugs and gets arrested, feel free to leave him in jail.

Do you not see the hypocrisy?

This sentence appears to be in accordance with an established Russian penal code outlining criminal punishments for people found guilty of violating the nation’s cannabis circulation laws. The code states that a person convicted of such a crime “may be sentenced to eight to twenty years of imprisonment, or even to a life sentence if the crime is committed on an especially large scale (for cannabis this means more than 10kg),” the international legal advisory service CMS observed in a recent article.

Russia may not be up to date on their equal protection laws. Good luck arguing that with them.

She’s a nobody. The girl that got the 9 years is higher profile. The Russians probably wanted someone in return.

Maybe so, but what do they get from just letting her go scot-free ?

I suppose one possibility is good will from Trump administration at the time.

I wouldn’t call 2 months and a fine nothing. I just think that’s what they normally do with regular people. This time they got someone they thought they could use as a bargaining chip. They want something in return. They have to give her a stiff penalty to get that return. Don’t think this is over. If the US gives them what they want, she’ll go free.
