So two angels come to rescue Lot and his family from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah
Lot, instead of taking his remaining two daughters to Abram’s land, decides to hide in a cave, where his two daughters get him drunk and have sex with him.
Is there any apocrypha that explains why Lot didn’t take his daughters to Abram, or Abraham, instead of hiding in a cave.
Did he not believe his two rescuers were angels - and did not his daughters realize this?
Also, Lot had offered to give up his two virgin daughters to the men of Sodom, and this on the face of it is a heinous act.
But considering his daughters were all too ready to have sex with their dad to continue their line (did they think the rest of the world was dead, too?) would they have reallly minded it so much? Maybe Lot knew his daughters pretty well…
