The Kim’s have been pulling the same thing on every newly seated president going back at least to Bush 41 and nobody can control the Kims.

and if they don’t have the kits?

Over a million tests had been sent out divided among the state labs in all fifty states as of last week.

It won’t please our fellow posters who have cheered every bit of negative economic news and have been playing cheerleaders in this thread.

It is however entirely expected at least by those of us who can see the economy without putting on partisan shades.

The kits have been distributed to every state lab in the country.

The rate it spreads is actually very similar in the UK, US, France and Italy. It’s S.Korea and Japan that are out of line.

rate

And the CDC still has no idea how many people have been tested. Which is mind boggling.

and yet…

This is from friday, so hopefully things have changed.

You are talking about snapshots.

The spread rate (growth rate) is not dependent upon snapshots…it’s dependent upon how fast it’s spreading. The spread rate is the movie.

It’s spreading at the exact same rate it’s spreading in Italy.

The have to rely on the labs doing the actual testing to provide the numbers.

It’s based on the rate of increase in confirmed cases and deaths.

The labs aren’t required to inform them, and it seems they haven’t been.

the cdc is not requiring the labs to report numbers to them.

Why would or should it be mandatory?

What matters is that they get the information back to the doc’s ordering the tests as fast as possible, the rest is just emotionally driven drivel.

And??

In order for the Federal Govt (and thus the CDC) to formulate a response, it would be useful to know how many ■■■■■■■ people have been tested.

And our rate of increase is exactly the same as it is in Italy…just offset by a few days (their uptick started earlier than ours).

If the current trends continue, we will be at their current levels of disease by next week.

In a little less than a month will be in six figures (if trends continue).

It’s on the same path as Italy. You are declaring victory before the match is over

Dont take victory literally

Woefully underprepared. Even Sean admitted today our ability to provide test kits was not adequate. You’re all alone on an island on this one now. Everyone else from the Trump administration, to their top surrogates, to the front line medical professionals dealing with this have ALL accepted that the US was slow to react and prepare with test kits.
