The senate Rs didn’t want it. It passed the house w/ 35 Rs. I’m sure she can get some of those.

I’m not mad, she can have her purely partisan report and half the country will ignore it. Her choice.

The same half would have ignored a bipartisan report.

She obviously didn’t think so, why else invite them to join to begin with?

So now we have the naked hatchet job we were always going to get anyway.
We can keep demanding an accounting for the murder of an unarmed trespasser in the hallway.
Let’s Roll!!

It will be better than that.
While inflation lowers our standard of living we can have this long overdue sideshow with an emphasis on her carving out an untouchable elected caste system.
Let’s Roll!!

Nah, but I wouldn’t be surprised if others did. She needs a blue ribbon panel similar to the Warren Commission. I would staff it with big names who are out of politics at the moment but who carry weight. Folks like…
George W. Bush
Condaleeza Rice
Anthony Kennedy
Colin Powell
Dick Cheney
Nikki Haley
On the Left side…
Barack Obama
Clair McCaskell
Bill Clinton
Janet Napolitano
Barny Frank
Tulsi Gabbard

The invitation is right there. Republicans can even subpoena the guy that fired the shot.
Isn’t that the concept of partisanship?
Other than Rice, Gabbard and Haley your list is comprised of avowed Trump haters especially the two former Presidents!
Sorry no objectivity there, they would be DQ’d during the first cut of a jury selection!

Not true- she made several compromises to entice the GOP on board- giving them a lot of what they wanted.
As per usual, once the GOP got much of what they wanted for the commission…
…they then voted against it.

We’ve had that since 1/7/21 already.
It’s called an agendized media.
“Select” just means they’ll carry the same agenda.

Pelosi, while acknowledging that members were worried about who Republicans would appoint, said she had no intention of “walking away from our responsibility.” “I hope that Kevin will appoint responsible people to the committee,” Pelosi said, referring to Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
So McCarthy will have a chance to appoint people. I wonder what he will do?
a moot point- the committee will be made up of representatives.

Kev gets to appoint R committee members.
We will see if he is more interested in having R voices on the committee, or in preserving his opportunity to sulk that the committee was partisan.

Honestly, they should have taken the deal, it’s going to happen anyway, may as well have republican input on it. They were offered equal subpoena powers from what I understand.
