Do you doubt his homosexuality was a factor in South Carolina? Or with black democrats and probably Latinos?

He’s a 30-something unknown Mayor from Indiana up against very established very recognized political figures. He came out of the gate with a questionable past regarding police policies in his hometown. Anecdotally I haven’t seen all that much hubalooo in the press or in dem conversation about him being gay. Certainly I could be wrong and it wouldn’t be the first or last time today that will happen.

I have made the point in conversation that there are lots of issues white liberals (myself included) are rather tone deaf on in regards to be in solidarity with mainstream Black Democrats and that we should probably listen more. Guns, Bernie Sanders being two of those issues.
