Who is saying Dems aren’t still against it? Didn’t need FISA to find out Roger Stone was trying to obtain hacked emails.

If the dem’s still opposed it Nancy would have already announced it will not be renewed/reauthorized.

Nancy is one person. Show me the Dems that believe FISA is necessary now vs when they voted against it

Just watched John Solomon on Hannity

Which lead me to this.

Retired Special Agent Bassem Youssef ran the FBI’s Communications Analysis Unit from late 2004 until his retirement in late 2014. He told Just the News he fears the deeply flawed program, which was started in response to the Sept. 11 attacks, was allowed to keep going to give Americans a false sense of security in the war on terror and possibly to enable inappropriate spying, such as that which targeted President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

“I have no doubt, or very little doubt, that it was used for political spying or political espionage,” Youssef said during a lengthy interview for the John Solomon Reports podcast.

Apparently the former FBI Communications Analysis feared that it would be used for political espionage. Well I’ll be damn…who would ever thought that would happen.

I was wondering what happen to him, it seems he found a new home.

Nancy controls the house.

I want to understand but your link is questionable

Water is wet.

What Democrats opposed FISA then supported it when it was used on Carter Page?

I haven’t mentioned Carter Page have I?

I think ill take dersh’s advice with a pinch of salt. What a joke.

Boy trumpists hate accountability

Why?

Accountability is exactly what we are calling for.

Right. One of the most respected civil rights atty’s and Constitutional experts, and Law professors in the country for the last thirty years or so is not qualified to speak on the topic but you are.

Priceless.

Rep. Perry says he is among a significant group in Congress that favors eliminating the FISA court altogether.

“There’s nothing that can be done to save it legitimately,” he said. “It has to be shut down.”

Agreed…I don’t ■■■■■■■ care what Barr thinks, it needs to end today.

Read more here.

I’m not that far with my disgust but I want to see some hard, cold, very clear actions with respect to firing and prosecuting those responsible for the prior abuse before I’d consider voting for any sort of renewal.

FISA can shove the courts right up their own asses for all I care, I don’t trust them…and any reform will just make it harder to catch em violating it. They will just use reforms to cover their asses.

But again what do I know…

Well call me naive but if the advocate’s office is set up like Levin and Dershowitz have suggested I think we might be able to rein it in and pretty well eliminate most if not all of the abuse.

Liberal advocate group? Libertarians?

They or they may not have taken FISA out on Page but keep in mind, they surveillance Flynn. Manafort and Papadopoulos from my understanding.

What they are proposing is an advocate who reviews and challenges every request on civil rights grounds if it involves Americans.

The unmasking has to be dealt with as well.

And that is what we were promised. Every warrant issued was supposed to be thoroughly reviewed and within a set time period, though I can’t recall the exact details. I do know that in the early days I argued strenuously in the need for such a body. The need still exists even if it is diminished to whatever extent.
