That was over a year ago. I don’t know the circumstances. Did your information come via Canada?
Odd isn’t it.
They actually love Soros and support everything that he’s been doing in Ukraine.

They should marry him and have his baby. Little baby Georgie.

I think Soros is a delicious monster under the bed that causes some to flock to Daddy Strongmen who can scare him away and make it all better for them so they can go to sleep without fear.

Hungary is George’s home. He should take his money and go home and stay there. It’s a nice place to live.

Well this took a weird turn.
Yes, Soros is a Hungarian Jew who admitted that he collaborated with the Nazis in World War II.
See video starting at 7:30:
It is interesting to see how the EU is going after Orban because he does not arrest people for using the wrong pronoun, while Zelensky is “defending democracy” using the Azov battalion and other far-right groups.

Oh please… not the Soros was Nazi collaborator thing again.

Soros was a collaborator, not a Nazi.
Is the same true for Zelenskyy?

He was 13 years old.
Seriously. People need to ■■■■ off with all that.
Get him on real things … not ■■■■ that is made up from the dumbest parts of the internet.
Yes, people do what they need to do to survive. If that means stealing the belonging of those going to the death camps, so be it.
What is Zelenskyy’s excuse?

He was not a collaborator.
Seriously. People need to stop spreading that toxic nonsense.

He’s lived in the UK since 1947, having moved there with his family when he was 17.
Very telling you think he should “go back to where he came from”.

And if someone is super upset about Azov Batttalion… man are they going to be super pissed about Wagner Group.

Nah the Wagner Group is cool because they’re not nazis.

I can buy the arguments of those who says the actions of the West were very much causal to the current situation we are in with Russia. I can disgaree with all the blamecasting, but at least it’s an argument grounded in reality.
Going from that to arguing that Putin…and his allies like Orban and Vučić (and more non-aligned folks like Duda and Bolsonaro), are misunderstood, aggrieved Patriots fighting against Globalist Liberal Oppression and are therefore spiritual kin to today’s Right, who of course are the spiritual heirs to the Founding Fathers, is a breathtakingly fascinating Unreality Bubble.

Yes, perhaps that would be a reasonable argument if Russia was applying for NATO and EU membership.
Ironically, the EU is working to punish Hungary for having a functional democracy.

As far as I can tell, that is what makes them “authoritarian”. If the government is chiefly concerned with the well-being of their citizens then they are authoritarian.
Other arguments I have seen is that they are authoritarian if the central government makes rules on voting and if they try to appoint like minded ideologues to the courts. Not sure if that is Hungary or Washington, though.
Mostly, if you don’t buy the antifa line you are fascist, if you don’t buy the NYTs line, you are authoritarian.

Who in all of that has explicitly said that he is working for an “illiberal democracy”?
