I wouldn’t be so sure of that. There are people in this country who do have ethics in who they vote for. Just because they voted for Trump once doesn’t mean they’ll do it again.

People weren’t inculcated by a “news” network into believing everything Nixon had to say in his defense, unlike these days with Trump.

For what it’s worth, Google also says it started with the birth of CNN. Then it exploded from there.
