He’d get shot to pieces probably before he even made it to the door unless it is held somewhere that forbids carry.
In that even they’ll have plenty of armed security.
That is not and never has been our policy. Carry is perfectly welcome where it is legal, it all depends on where the Annual Conference is being held.
State law makes the determination, not the NRA.
Why do you keep repeating something that is so obviously and patently false?

I accepted your correction elsewhere. However my error doesn’t change the point I was making here…that the Constitution regulates the power of government, not private entities.
People need to learn to read first and not jump to conclusions.
The question is why they keep repeating something they know to be false. We discussed this in detail when the NRA Nat’l conference was held here in Texas two years ago. In fact we did so in several threads.
What do you mean by reflective of Australian politics?
They haven’t ruled on it specifically because no case has gone before the court addressing it.
What you consider to be a violation doesn’t much matter to anyone.
Fair enough. As much discussion as we’ve had on the subject here it seems “odd” at best to see so many people so clearly wrong repeatedly.

I rarely participate in the gun threads and so missed this…and obviously had erroneous sources for my own opinions.
When I do participate I am on “your side”.
Old guy blew gaskets about three years in a row on the subject and they were on the main page. Several others have as well.
It was also a huge news story three or four years ago when it was held in a state with no lawful carry on the books and there was a very long discussion here on the subject.
Of course banning gun in the Virginia statehouse may actually be a pretty good idea:

Why? It’s not like it fired randomly while he was carrying it did it?
