Comments in many parts of the internet refer to the opposition as ātraitorsā. Thus is done by people on the left and people on the right. This article shows what happens when people who react like that actually control the government.

How bad was the opposition that the people, knowing full well about Ortega, voted him into office? Again. And again.
Andā¦again, and again, and again.
I donāt know how bad Ortega was. Was a government that locked people away for decades if they disagreed with that government the only opposition people could have chosen? How bad were and are the people who vote to have a government that denies individual rights?
If 55% of voters chose to democratically make the other 45% into slaves, are the 45% who are voted slaves required to peacefully comply?
