I’m trying to extend the logic here. If the U.S. will become Venezuela if we enact “socialist” legislation, then we should definitely adopt Australia’s model of gun control. They’ve virtually eliminated mass shootings. And as all the Trumpies here keep pointing out, laws adopted in one country will achieve the same results when adopted in another country.

I think you overestimate the number of people willing to die on the hill of gun control. A civil war? Not at all. More like an armed insurrection, which would be put down relatively quickly, but not before some loss of life. And unless it was put down surgically, the lost lives would include both innocent bystanders and federal agents carrying out their sworn duty to uphold the law, even if you disagree with the law. And at that point, whatever meager support exists among the general public for your little insurrection will quickly evaporate.

No, I don’t think it would happen like that. That’s the flaw in the left’s thinking. I believe, though I would not participate, that there would be many, many assassination’s until the politicians left would decide it’s not worth it. I seriously doubt very many would risk taking on the military or law enforcement head to head. But I do think it would cause enough anger that those who made such a law would be the targets of that wrath. I have heard total strangers say that or similar things. When people actually believe their freedom is at stake, they will resort to extremes. Personally if the country ever looks to be headed that way I would sell out & leave. The resulting economic depression, loss of freedoms, & chaos would make the country unendurable to me. I would possibly return after the dust settled, but not if there ended up being a Stalin or Castro in charge. There was a time I’d say I’d stay & fight, but the degenerate path the country has taken already makes me less & less enthused. I don’t see the country coming back from the adoration of perversion & degenerate worship. No country last’s forever.

That’s the trouble with the thinking of the left. Hitler was voted into office, are you ok with a new Hitler being voted into the Presidency?

SAME thing with a gun ban, even if it’s voted in, it IS the total loss of freedom in the mind of the right, including me. I believe it will end in much bloodshed. The left keeps up the insane mantra it’s for public safety, just like in EVERY new dictatorship the first thing they do is disarm the populace before they remove the other freedoms. I don’t believe it will happen that way here. I believe it will be met with bloodshed from sea to sea. How safe will the public be then, huh?

When millions of free people completely believe their freedom & their children’s freedom is at stake, they will fight, & they will not let up. I believe their main targets would not be military or police, but the leftist politicians & the leftists in academia. It wouldn’t be those they love, that doesn’t even make sense, because most on the right love the police & military, & many are either in those, or have family in those.

The left needs to do a lot more indoctrination before they try that one, because it won’t end well for them right now. Probably one more generation of the youth need the brainwash first, & as they have been doing for years, the right will send their kids to those schools, because that is their main blindside!
