Good luck. People have combined the two and are froathing at the mouth. Lots of high school government teachers are really disappointed right now.

Soldiers pay for their GI Bill, why would it?

50 years of paying in to it, I doubt I will live past a hundred.

Or you could use the fake news like the Democrats are and spew some lies.

Sooo… the U.S. will become like Socialist Venezuela if we continue to enact legislation like Obamacare, or the Green New Deal?

From what I am getting is that it isn’t socialism as long as someone pays into the system.

That is a new twist.

I’m trying to extend the logic here. If the U.S. will become Venezuela if we enact “socialist” legislation, then we should definitely adopt Australia’s model of gun control. They’ve virtually eliminated mass shootings. And as all the Trumpies here keep pointing out, laws adopted in one country will achieve the same results when adopted in another country.

Thanks for solving gun violence in America, Trumpkins!

Nope gi bill was socialism.

I served, the soldiers pay for it.

Clearly you never been to Canada

And you pay for universal healthcare via taxes, doesnt not make it a social program

Nope biggest transfer of wealth ever.

Are they forced to pay for it? Is the money privately invested or controlled by the government

Its not socialism if it benfits me!

When the soldier enlists he is offered the GI Bill, $100 a month for a year.

Not when it was enacted.

$100 taken out of the pay for 12 months.

Not anymore. The post 9/11 GI Bill does not require Soldiers to contribute.

That’s true after serving in combat or is it from just 911 happening?

Its a new version of the bill. You can also transfer it to family members.
