Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders doubled-down on his fierce criticism of the US capitalist system on the campaign trail this week; saying “economic growth” simply doesn’t “impact the majority” of Americans.

“Economic growth unto itself should not be our end goal. You can theoretically have all the economic growth you want, it doesn’t impact the majority of people,” said Sanders.

Sanders unloaded on one of the nation’s largest employers this week; vowing to end Walmart’s “unfettered greed” should he win the 2020 race for the White House.

“Meanwhile the Waltons pay entry-level Walmart workers a starvation wage of $11 an hour. That is what outrageous, unfettered greed looks like. And we’re going to end it,” Sanders posted on social media.
