Homosexuality is unnatural to the design of human beings. You must body parts designed for other activities, different than design parameters.
It remains wrong. Jesus didn’t change those rules. But its no worse than other sexual sins Christians repent from:

Cognitive dissonance prevents your acknowledging reality, only a few Southerners had slaves therefore when they fought they did so for OTHER reasons.
Chief among them was the feeling their state was their country, and it was akin to “nationalism” to fight for their home state. For most, it wasn’t about slaves. And there are accounts where Southerners fought even they they hated slavery.
Without their belief that slavery was being threatened secession would not have occurred at that time.
The issue of Slavery, specifically its expansion into the new territories and northern states lack of “compliance” with fugitive slave laws, was the central issue that led the southern political class to push for secession.
You take slavery out of the picture and there would not have been secession at that time. Without secession, the Confederacy doesn’t exist. Without the Confederacy there is no war.
Every confederate soldier, including two of my ancestors and thousands of Mississippians, indirectly fought for the cause of slavery. Even if their personal reasons were the defense of home they still fought for a regime that was dedicated to protecting and expanding the enslavement of blacks. There is no “clean” confederate army. Just as there is no “clean” Wehrmacht. The similarities between the two are striking.
Most non slave holding southerners were either pro-slavery or at the very least ambivalent about the issue. They feared a free black class that could compete with them for paid labor. So even if they did not personally own slaves, many of them benefitted from it continuing.
I.E your interpretation. Yes i know the bible is a collection of stories that often contradict eachother. This is also at odds with how god’s laws treat women, the descendants of certain families, etc.
We have this ahistorical romantic view that the average Gertrude and Hans didnt know about at least many of the crimes of the nazi party which is false. The same thing applies here.
That’s irrelevant. Those in power - the ones who did own slaves - are the ones who seceded. That is the cause of the war. Once seceded and the war started, why individuals fought is moot. The reason it all started in the first place is because those who held the reins of power in the South wanted to hold on to their chattel.
Projection. Read the cornerstone speech, the words of Jefferson Davis and the heads of each state. They spell it out quite clearly part of it was tariffs but the major thing they based it on was the preservation of slavery and the supremacy of the white man. Just give up already.
False. Homosexuality has always been with us. Its been in the animal kingdom as well. Just because some new faith comes in to suppress it doesnt make it un natural.
Exactly. The average German soldier knew what was going on the east. Most communicated with their wives, sisters, fathers, etc. about the glorious victory in the east. It was an “open secret.” Most German civilians didn’t know the details but they knew that a “War of Annihilation” was being waged against the Communists.
There’s a reason they fought to the last man once the Russians reached East Prussia. They knew what the Wehrmacht had done in the USSR and knew that the Soviet soldiers would take their vengeance.
The average Confederate soldier knew what was going on. Contrary to myth most had basic education and could read and write. The letters many of them wrote are shocking.
This is one of the reasons i left religion (christianity in particular here) and will never come back. It robs us of our humanity, requires us to make the most embarrassingly inept twists of logic to defend millenia years old book describing a god that we would view as a monsterous thug if we did not special plead our way out of it. It requires us to evade our own moral understanding, no it forbids us to discover reality and morality, and the concept of hellfire literally has a cult like grip on parents who are scared to death of allowing their children to explore at all. The ones who are not scared to death are made to be so bleze about the eternal suffering and agony of the people they love.
Are you making the argument that slavery is natural? Why didn’t God prohibit chattel slavery but prohibited male-male sex? I mean, evil is evil. Why would he condone one evil but not the other?
It has to be entirely random as the probabilities are so remote as to be all but virtually impossible unless there is a guiding hand.

Not only does it all have to happen in a ridiculously complex series of events at exactly the right moment in time under exactly the right conditions, it has to be repeated enough under all of those same conditions for a viable life form to spring forth from inanimate matter and be able to reproduce itself.
