I was referring to the lawsuit brought by twenty Republican State Attorney Generals and now supported strongly by the Justice Department that is arguing that since Trump Administration eliminated the individual mandate, the entire ACA must be invalidated. While the general opinion of legal scholars is that this argument is legally very weak, two levels of court have agreed with the suit. It will be decided but the Supreme Court and if they rule in favor of the Administration, the ACA will be gone. At that point, roughly 20 million citizens will lose their health insurance and insurance companies will be free to deny coverage to the 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions.

Since this suit is coming entirely from Republicans, they willl own the outcome.

Clinton’s reelection had already occurred in 1996 for the second term and the impeachment happened in 1998.

I think that the House impeachment proceedings being after the election for a second term is a huge factor in the decision matrix.

The DEMs are probably better off keeping Trump in office without impeachment and then making him look like a fool then they would be impeaching him in the House and it not passing the Senate which would feed his victim mentality.

There has been more than a couple of threads regarding this. It has been discussed exhaustively. Mueller confirmed the accuracy in his hearing. He wouldn’t have indicted even without the OLC. Also the OLC didn’t prevent him from indicting anyone else on obstruction.

Your the one kidding yourself.

the pre-existing conditions didn’t suddenly materialize with Obamacare. Insurance company group plans always covered them and they would continue to do so.

Within that 20 million, there are more than a few who would choose to go without healthcare. They shouldn’t be forced to have it if they don’t want it. They will also have to suffer the consequences of not having it.

So we are left with a small percentage of the population. That should be the target of any overhaul.

In regards to a replacement, the GOP won’t be responsible if DEMs refuse to come to the table to hammer out a compromise solution.

  1. None of my hopes and dreams were dashed. LOL. Trump obstructed justice.

Nothing you can say can dissuade me from my conclusion fro the facts Mueller presented.

Insurance companies had the freedom to deny people with pre-existing conditions coverage prior to the Affordable Care Act or charged so much for care that it was unaffordable. The recent failed Republican proposals on this matter failed because because the coverage would have been unaffordable for mot people. Protection of this element of ACA was key element of the Democratic victory in 2018. You only deny this at Republican peril.

Of the the twenty million you claim don’t want healthcare coverage, do you have any data to support your proposition.

As to blaming the Democratic, pulbic opinion on that is very clear. The inability of Republicans to come up with ANY proposal to improve healthcare in the years since the ACA was passed has not gone unnoticed.

And despite years of attacks and sabotage, public support for the ACA has gained steadily over the years as its benefits have sunk in, its kinks have worked out, and the Republicans have failed to come up with any alternatives.

Healthcare was the core of the Democrats flipping the House in 2018 and will continue to be at the core of any Democratic strategy until it is proven not to work.

But on indivdual plans and those PE were not covered. Now they are.

What a ridiculous claim, he would have been indicted for obstruction for firing the head of the FBI if he wasn’t President, what a hoot.

Right, before the midterms. Gingrich was bounced as Speaker because it didn’t work.

But the part I quoted is exactly why they aren’t. Also, his administration, which was already making a serious run for least effective administration ever with the House and the Senate, is completely paralyzed now.

For what? It was the Democratic Party and Hillary that colluded with Russians so they could lie to the fisa judge in order to spy on Trump.

The dems wanted him fired too until Trump actually fired him then they tried to tried to claim obstruction in a most hypocritical manner.

That’s it! The only collusion was between Hillary and the Russians.

Then they went to the backup plan with them trying to overturn a legitimate election via illegal methods.

What justice? It was the Democrats that colluded with the Russians so they could lie to the fisa judge in order to spy on Trump.

This is some serious :black_medium_square::black_medium_square::black_medium_square::black_medium_square: here!

Stupid is everyone who pushed the Russian collusion lie!

Stupid is as stupid does.

That’s a lot of stupid people who believed in the Russian collusion lie!:rofl:

Like Obama destroying the Democratic Party with his attempted coup.

He didn’t even drive a car. No coupe.

A hole year of Obama trials should be great for the 2020 elections.
