Oh well excuse me for my ignorance, I grew up in a country torn apart by a civil war over religion and politics.
Abortion was illegal as was divorce. Church and state ruled.
Now we have none of that.
Authoritarian or not. You be the judge.

They were authoritarians hiding behind religion. We had the same problem here for decades.
And we had our own civil war…one much bloodier.

For me it comes down to one question, is religion or politics worth hating and killing your own people over.
I know you had this in your past. I experienced it growing up.
The Catholic Church scandal proved religion failed us so why fight over it.

The question you should be asking yourself…have you changed from one authoritarian for another?
And remember…authoritarians disguises themselves. Just like libs here in America disguise as liberals. And when I use libs there is a meaning behind it…and it’s not liberal if you know what I mean.
Same for religious right in America hiding behind religion to impose their form of authoritarianism.
So political spectrum for me is how much authority government should have verses how much freedom we as individuals were promised to us under our Constitution and BoR’s.

This is way past a bad debate the other half of the country has to contend with what most of us known all alone Biden is a cognitive mess that’s not going to get better with age. What will he sound like in two years? Will he be alive? What do our enemies do when they see the country is being led by Rain Man for another four years.
This effectively ended his chances of winning which he was already in the hole. Why in the world would his team take a chance and let him get back on the debate stage. Wasn’t a big fan of Obamas second term even though I voted for him on the first he was still a competent president. Joes gone loco 
this is where we are at.
Sad we are at this point but this is the two choices America has, one of these two runs the country.

Thats bull! The Republican Party is barely better but they certainly are because the DNC has completely jumped the shark and are flat out authoritarian anti American, anti-Constitution socialist commies. It took Rome anywhere from 500 to over 1000 years to fall but the Dem Commies are hell bent on the USA, the greatest country mankind has ever known, falling before even reaching 250 years.
It’s only the reformed MAGA Republican Party that can take on this mess and salvage the country.
That is my not so humble opinion.
