Without a wall there, thousands would pour through. I know you’ve seen the pics. Your pic demonstrates that the wall distills it down to one at a time. And better surveillance would stop even that.

You didn’t ask me, but I totally agree with all of this.

Biden is being forced to pay at least some attention to the border. The crisis is growing by the day. And the optics can’t be hidden by sycophant media any longer.

This must be making him wet his pants in frustration.

I am supportive of walls and fences where needed- along with robust security operations along the border. But the sad fact is that desperation generally wins out. The last major building of walls/fences happened in 2006 under GWBush and it hasn’t even dented the flow. There is no fix-it-all solution and a coast to coast wall sure ain’t it.

Of course not. As long as there is an opening, the flow will go there. They BUS THE MIGRANTS to the openings.

Well damn, we actually agree on something

You are 100% right. I’m honestly perplexed the Let’s Go Brandon crowd isn’t seeing this for what it is and running with it.

Yup…I know its un PC to say but Prez Polk should have annexed Mexico in the 1840’s. Much smaller border across to Guatemala and Belize there. Way easier to control. Joking…kinda.

Maybe Clueless Joe should talk to his DHS and get the story straight.

"The Biden administration is extending a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border despite President Joe Biden’s promise as a candidate not to add to a controversial border wall that’s long been a signature of his predecessor Donald Trump.

Amid surging migration, the Biden administration is bypassing 26 federal laws, including environmental restrictions, to build a new section of the border wall in South Texas near the Rio Grande River, according to a notice made public Thursday.

Citing “high illegal entry” into the U.S., Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas defended using his authority to waive certain laws to expedite the wall’s construction.

“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States,” Mayorkas wrote in the notice. MSN

Now…As far as following the law…Since when has Biden cared about following the law. He keeps defying the Supreme Court with his stupid student loan bail outs…as an example.

This funding was approved in 2019…Fine…who controlled the White House, the House, and the Senate from January 2021 thru January 2023?

And let’s be honest. Biden lies, his administration lies, alot. “The Border is Closed the Border is under Control, those horseback border agents strapped the migrants, I have never talked to my son about his overseas businesses,” just to name a few…Add to that all those old folksey Joe coloquealisms that are never true…I’m sure I missed several…

That clown in the white house is not just the worst president in American history, he
might be the most dishonest.

He’s getting his butt kicked in the polls…American’s all over the country including big cities like New York and Chicago are railing against their cities being taken over by homeless migrants who shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Lastly, in an earlier post you classified yourself as part of the “Walls are Stupid” Club or something like that.

Nobody cares…The border patrol disagrees.

Here’s an article from February, 2021 after the liar in the White House shut down wall construction. The title is “Border Patrol Agents, the Only True Experts, Lament Wall Construction Halt”. I don’t know why the know it all idiot liberal class doesn’t listen to these people, maybe if we actually gave them what they needed they could do their damn jobs.

"DEMING, N.M. — Just over the horizon from this high-desert town, an order from newly seated President Joe Biden last week halted westward construction of his predecessor’s border wall. A mile or so down the line, at a section building eastward to connect with it, construction also ended. The “pause” orders from distant Washington, where “experts” insist border walls don’t work, left a mile-wide open corridor here that would have been closed in another month or so.

In the shadow of a last installed panel, a U.S. Border Patrol agent left responsible for covering that mile-wide gap wondered who all these “experts” are who constantly insist walls don’t work against illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

“You hear TV, and they would say, ‘well the experts say the wall isn’t effective,’ and I never understood who these experts were,” said the agent. “Because all of our data says, you know, 90 percent effective rate … dropping of crossings … increased apprehensions and all of that. And it’s like, well who are these experts to say it wasn’t effective and what are they basing that on? You know, they never really specify.”

During a recent reporting trip to West Texas and New Mexico, the Center for Immigration Studies spoke privately, off-record to a dozen U.S. Border Patrol agents who, by virtue of their 40-hour weeks working with and without new and old border walls, feel they are the only ones who can speak with authentic, first-hand expertise as to how well the wall systems work. Because Border Patrol agents are not allowed to speak to the media without permission, CIS is withholding their identities.

Although the agents patrol different regions with unique characteristics and patterns, they held several common perceptions: The new wall additions built under the Trump administration prompted a precipitous decline in illegal immigration and drug smuggling at their locations and forced those ills along paths of least resistance to areas with inferior, older barriers or no barriers at all. While some smugglers use ladders and ropes to defeat the wall, their number are miniscule compared to the high volumes that coursed through areas the wall now obstructs." Building walls without addressing the power and influence of the Mexican cartels including the corrupt
Mexican government will be at best a photo op. J’Biden and the oafs that handle this charade are fools.

Even the Trump Wall, paid for by Mexico, would not have been close to done by now. So he was also trying to “close the barn door after the horse is gone”

At the end of bidens term. After biden made his commitment that not a single foot of wall will be built.

Im not entirely clear how this wall of text is relevant to what I’ve posted. I actually posted a fair portion of this above snipped from the BBC, though I included the statements from Biden where he basically said his hand is forced on this wall.

What exactly is your point?

So you acknowledge he doesn’t want to build the wall, he doesn’t think walls are effective, he’s effectively forced to build this segment of wall? And now that it’s going up, he’s going back on his word? I’m asking this as a simple yes/no because so far you all seem to struggle with actually answering anything.

No response on the Trump part?

Wherever his new wall ends, the cartels will just be bussing the illegals past it.

Appreciate the honesty…its like the war on drugs. Plug one hole and another one emerges. And I support the smart use of walls and fences. It just won’t “solve” the problem.

So all this chant about “build the wall” was wrong?

Yeppers….this is the kind of thing a failed president whom most of the country opposes to prop up his disastrous administration.

I think its you that is having a hard time with this. Bidens words not one single foot of wall will be built. Trump has nothing to do with this.

Are you reading my posts? Because I responded directly to you above that I’m aware he made that statement. I then went on to say the following in the same post:

"What you all appear to be missing is that he is fully against this portion of wall being built, but there’s nothing he can do about it. Again, I would think that Trumpers would use this to ridicule and take a victory lap, his hand is literally being forced by Trump’s time in office, yet you’re not.

To the contrary, I get the impression people think Biden is co-opting Trump’s strategy and now favors Border walls. That isn’t accurate at all."

The above was a response directly to you.

So I’ll try again. I’ve asked multiple posters the following and not a one of you have responded. Maybe you’ll be different.

Do you believe Biden is co-opting Trump’s border strategy by now building walls?
Do you believe Biden wants to build this segment of wall?
Did Biden try to reappropriate the funding for this segment of the wall to other uses?

TIA

What exactly is yours.

You’re claiming it matters that he doesn’t want to build any kind if physical barrier. I think we all figured that out when he stupidly canceled the project back in 2021 leaving all the materials we had paid for on the ground before his administration started selling it off at a loss.

He said he wouldn’t build another foot, now he’s allegedly building 20 miles…at a time when his poll numbers suck and his democrat supporters are railing against him. This is political…his administration figures ways around the law all the time…he’s lying again.

What’s new…it’s Biden. Lying is what he does…the question is whether his supporters are dumb enough to believe his lies.
