They were at the behest of the governor using donated funds. I don’t see someone offsetting legitimate government expenses as being a negative.

Better to be bankrolled by one person than lie to an entire state as to why you need to keep over 1k troops In DC over a months time.

Well, let us see how this develops. I would very much like to see the reaction around here if a Democratic governor does something similiar.

For example: Steyer paying Newsome to send the NG to eastern Oregon to deal with 3 Percenters.

Are 3percenters creating a nationwide crisis like the border is doing? The bottom line is we need help at the border, Biden is defunding help at the border, Texas can’t do it on its own, neither can Arizona, California could care less if their state is driven in the ground or not. What Noem is doing should be what Biden is doing! We should be sending 1k national guards to the border not to the congressional building.

If you want cons to be against this just cross out that billionaire’s name and write in “George Soros”.

None of that matters. You yourself said, in this very thread, (post 93) that it doesn’t matter how she uses them.

Also, don’t get wrapped around the axel of the details on a theoretical.

Meh. Let them spend their money as they see fit.

Remember the poor suckers who funded “build the wall”

And Bannon on his boat. Too funny.

Allan

Would it be ok if he sent charitable funds down to Guatemala to help the illegals rent buses and such?

NG Troopers are commanded by their Governor. If the troops living expenses, meals and pay are covered and the State of TX is allowing it. Why not? The federal goobermint under the “leadership” of ‘Ol Joey from Scranton doesn’t seem interested in the flood of illegals, drugs and guns coming into America. Maybe private sector money can buy some security.

I believe Florida sent state cops. Idaho and Nebraska have said they might send somebody.

Yeah, Soros spends his dough wisely on elections for prosecutors who allow criminals to commit crimes again and again without consequences.
What a smart guy huh?

If it takes private citizens to unite with some government officials to secure our southern border from the disastrous invasion taking place due to Biden’s personal encouragement to break our immigration laws…then hip, hip hurrraaaaaaaaay. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

One has to wonder how the 50 guardsmen feel about this. Being ripped away from their families for a political stunt isn’t what they signed up for. (I know they have no say and that is the nature of military service)

Overall though, I’m ambivalent towards it.

Biden opened the door by being absolutely reckless with his border policy and goals.

Biden created an emergency.

One wonders how those hundred or so Capitol police got injured. Did they all trip and fall on their own?

I’d guess…they’re both proud and happy to do what they know should have already been done for the good of the country they’re protecting.

Yeah…I knooow rite? …and did you hear how the speaker of the house, personally told the nation how an officer was brutally murdered by Trump supporters with a fire extinguisher? She did it standing right next to his coffin. One question though, how did that lie taste when you gobbled it down?

Nobody will get “ripped”. It’s only 50, they’ll volunteer.
