I’m for giving parents the largest role in the welfare of their kids, especially complex decisions. I’m for teaching kids about the whole world, including a variety of religions and not shielding them from the fact that tens of millions of people are gay. I’m for finding remedies to protect our kids from the epidemic of school shootings. I’m for giving kids more access to information, not banning books or topics.
I’m pretty enthusiastic for the job Biden has done on the economy - the fact that employment is at historic lows, GDP growth is high, inflation created all over the world by covid supply shocks, was controlled better by the US than any other big economy and inflation has come down faster here than anywhere. Happy that the market is at all time highs.
I’m a believer in access to abortion and contraceptives. I worry about the growing influence of the Evangelical right wing of the GOP and how Trump has co-opted them for his own personal and political benefit.
I’m all for freedom of speech and I recognize that that doesn’t mean you can’t criticize someone for saying something stupid or call attention to bigots or liars or asshats in the public square.
I am all for the investments we are making in green energy and I am excited about the future of green technologies. And I am encouraged that Biden has taken the very moderate position of continuing to facilitate existing carbon energy business while simultaneously pushing to ensure that we are investing in and developing green energy technologies that will keep us the tech leader of the world for decades.
I am hopeful that Biden and the GOP will come to a compromise on Immigration policy that incentivizes and speeds up legal immigration and cracks down on and makes illegal immigration more difficult. I hope the GOP will negotiate in good faith rather than to try to keep the issue unresolved to benefit politically.
It would be great if Liberal and Conservative could find more common ground but we seem to be far away from that. I blame the conservative media complex more than anything else, but there is plenty of blame to go around including on the left.
America is not perfect. Better than anywhere else, but we can and should continually try to improve.
Your posts are disingenuous, I already explained exactly what I mean. So no, in that context, I really couldn’t care less about your interpretation of “the record.”
LOL, sure. Why don’t you ask the person who made the post about Trump using Nazi symbols? I don’t know what they meant. My response to that post was imprecise, as I’ve already explained. I’m familiar with Trump’s use of Nazi language, I don’t know anything about symbols. But I hope you get to the bottom of it.
but you agreed with the poster. how could you not know?
i’m sorry but you have not explained. at all.
yes he said “poisoning the blood” two times, once in 2016, then recently. in a context nothing like mein freaking kampf. but that’s not a “symbol” that’s carefully parsed language
ok i get it. but i asked because you said you agreed he did. not trying to pick on you. just trying to get this discussion off the ground
