The past four years – 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 – are the four warmest years since records began in 1850.
Make’s a person wonder. Are they only using ground based temperature points that were avilable in 1850 compared to the same points in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018?
The four hottest years on record globally according to UAH satellite data are 2016, 1998, 2017 and 2010. According to UAH satellite data, 2018 was the 6th hottest year on record globally.
And do we have satellite data back to 1850 to copare?
It goes back to 1979.

The ground based temperature measurements go back to about the 1880s.
So the record hi temps only compare ground based recordings then?
Yeah the same data that people use ro show that climate is cyclical, as a reason to dismiss change entirely, but interestingly, only then is it deemed valid.
