Well, we are finally getting to see the fuller context of the things Cohen was able to get conservatives on the record saying, including calling for the arming of preschoolers. Cohen poses as a “terrorism expert” promoting a program he claimed to be a backer of called “Kinderguardians”. It called for arming children as young as 3 or 4 years old as a deterrent to school shootings. Figures who tossed their support behind the program range from state gun lobbyists to former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott.
This is where the Republican party is now folks. This is the utter insanity we are dealing with.
In Congress? You must be joking. Over half of those twits have never been around a computer, yet they’re routinely writing legislation to strip privacy from citizens on the internet. And they keep getting re-elected.
I pretty much despise most of the republicans like Trent Lott in this video yet I can’t help but think these things aren’t what they seem. Anyone recall when democrat Robert Wexler went on the Colbert show and Wexler and Colbert were joking around. In a gag segment, Colbert got Wexler to say things that would cost him his job like “cocaine is fun.” Faux news took segments out of context to make it look like he was serious about those things. Can’t help but think this is more of the same.
So do you have all of Cohen’s video like we do of Colbert / Wexler or do you just have the parts Cohen wants you to see? If all we had of Wexler was the stuff Faux news put up then we might think he actually said those things for real and in seriousness.
I don’t like Lott. I HATE $arah Palin, I mean I really really really hate her. So I would be amongst the last to defend them. But I also know that you can’t trust either side to be honest anymore and to absolutely take things out of context or to twist video to mean something it doesn’t much like Faux did with Wexler.
Apparently Cohen’s newest attempt flopped. He went into a gun shop in disguise pretending to be a Hungarian Immigrant wanting to buy a gun. The gun owner looked at him and said “You’re Borat” at which point Cohen literally turned tail and ran. All caught on video surveillance since Cohen will likely never show it.
