Then I will fill you in. They represent the members of the FREDRICKSON VIRGINIA BRANCH of the NAACP. And only the FREDRICKSON VIRGINIA BRANCH of the NAACP .
Yes?
It was. Some of it was really difficult to watch. But that’s Quentin Tarantino. Samuel L. Jackson was excellent. He usually doesn’t play a pure evil villain. He nailed it.
I can’t speak for all conservatives but most of us know it was bad and the idea of owning another is repulsive to its core. It was ended but still goes on throughout the world which is sad. And I have said previously I could care less about statues as long as it’s voted on it can’t be whatever the mob deems needs removed goes.
I understand slavery was bad as was nazism, communism, the Rwandan genocide and ifs a list that goes on forever and involves every society and people because let’s face it no groups ancestors probably doesn’t have blood on their hands. And regardless how I personally want to deal what happened before 1865 I don’t think the looting and tearing down statues is healing anything but the inverse.
I saw in the UK were they were beating up police because of what happened in the US even though in the UK there was only two deaths of unarmed minorities by cops and one of them was a terrorist. This is why I am pretty sure what has been going on at least the last week has zero to do with Floyd and more to do with a tear down society movement. The idiot Antifa here in Seattle have barricaded up six or so blocks of the city not allowing traffic to enter we can’t let society be ran by mob rule.
You, me and most people on this forum can have a nice political discussion or debate I have talked with a few of these debaters over the years one I recognize from the occupy movement they have one view and have no interest in debate or conversation.
Seriously my friends on the left call and end to this BS, do we really want to live in a world of banning movies, books, etc… It’s not stopping at a few confederate statues, I know they’re some moderates among you I have discussed and debated with some.
HBO Max removed “Gone With the Wind” from its platform amid growing concerns about racial injustice in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.

A statement from HBO
“ Gone With The Wind is a product of its time and depicts some of the ethnic and racial prejudices that have, unfortunately, been commonplace in American society. These racist depictions were wrong then and are wrong today, and we felt that to keep this title up without an explanation and a denouncement of those depictions would be irresponsible. These depictions are certainly counter to WarnerMedia’s values, so when we return the film to HBO Max, it will return with a discussion of its historical context and a denouncement of those very depictions, but will be presented as it was originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed. If we are to create a more just, equitable and inclusive future, we must first acknowledge and understand our history.”
It will be back, and this seems like a good way to handle it.
They’re talking about Mohammed since he owned a ton of slaves and using today’s leftist logic on everything in the past associated with slavery must be cancelled, Islam must be cancelled. They should protest it preferably in Mecca, if to far then maybe in the Somalian community in Minneapolis.

Good for Poland, beating up on oneself for something you not only had no part in but wasn’t around during the time is not only ridiculous but probably a psychological condition. And these tactics are constantly used against current Germans today that have no blood on their hands just as if it was themselves who were dropping the pellets in the gas chambers.
It used to be common knowledge and not political that one should not be punished for the sins of their father.
Jeff Davis bites the dust.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

No, it wouldn’t. Conservatives disagree on a lot of things, those disagreements pale in comparison to the differences between left and right, but they do exist.

Do objections like these really end up looking as good in print as they sound in your head?
LOL keep telling yourself that - we see those disagreements every day on this forum with the weird hive mind responses from Trump supporters.

No, you don’t, because those disagreements are not remotely as stark as between the left and right.

Auschwitz is a place. If they keep it intact for visitors to learn about the holocaust, so be it.
But putting up statues decades after a war has ended is another matter, wouldn’t you agree? That statue wasn’t there during the war. And who it depicts is important. Sherman freed a lot of slaves in the South, if there was a statue in a town square in Georgia of Sherman built to thank him for his heroism and leadership, I would be all for it.
But not to folks who betrayed their country, killed patriotic American soldiers all to ensure the survival of slavery. Leaving stuff up like that keeps the wounds from healing and offers a reminder to African Americans living there that the city will never truly accept them, never forget who they are in reality, but for the “War of Northern Aggression”.
