And that is just one of the problems with case count panic.

So is the USSC debating the J’Biden vaccine mandates in America or are they including the planet using skewed info from the WHO?

Lol. Females make fine justices.
It wasn’t her best moment I will agree.
She’s been a fine justice.
One bad day does not diminish that.

Her next written opinion could be bypassed.
There are various minor punishments that could be meted out by the Chief Justice.

Yes, CNN never says that the total number of COVID-positive kids under 5 years of age hospitals is only 700. Most people only read the headline and see “100,000” in the text.
bypassing her opinion? sounds almost like icing…
Or he really said, “Flu kills, I believe, hundreds, thousands of people every year.”

Yes, it was misheard, even by the court reporter who typed in “hundreds of thousands” in the official transcript.
So, yes, Justice Gorsuch. Flu kills thousands each year. Covid kills hundreds of thousands each year, so not a good comparison

Listen to the audio in the link. There is no “of” between “hundreds” and “thousands”.
Yeah there is no of. That’s a transcript error. He said hundreds then thousands.

Perhaps a better way of phrasing it is that COVID has killed hundreds of thousands a year.
There are good indications that Omicron is extremely mild compared to earlier variants, more like a cold or mild flu.
Even a broken clock is right occationally.
Even PolitiFact is admitting that Sotomayor statement is false. A truly rare event.
you’re right, you don’t get the distinction.
a distinction without a difference. doesn’t surprise me you’d try to use it as an excuse for her

Since the start of the pandemic, what is the cumulative total number of covid cases in children?
the estimate is 8M. that however is a math exercize, not actual diagnoses. its likely right, as something like 95% of children who contract covid don’t actually get sick. the point here is the 325K is the number of total unresolved cases for the week ending “x”, not the number of new cases. counting cases with children is fairly useless anyway, since most don’t get sick. a much better gauge to measure how sick kids are are hospitalizations and deaths. by any measure, that is comparitively few. less than 2000 kids in the hospital who have covid every day, most, for another reason.
