Hey I am all for it in my state, let each congressional district have one elector here in Ohio and I can guarantee you Sherrod Brown wouldn’t be in the Senate.

The EC did indeed fail miserably this time.
Of course our founding fathers had no idea there would be such a thing as Fox news and talkradio, which would create so much fear among republican politicians, that they would suspend good judgement and instead go along with the uninformed masses.

I want more fundamental changes to voting than just getting rid of the EC, specifically rank choice voting.

If you’ve read enough of my posts, you know that though I’m conservative, I have equal scorn for Republican corruption as Democrat. I’d like to see every last congressman and Senator tossed out in 2020 regardless of time in office, and start over. Never happen though… We’re stuck with what we have for better it worse.
Such as? Surely there’s a way to show how the 3/5 compromise benefited northern states from a taxation perspective, rather than having slaves count for nothing in enumerating the population.

I understand the definition of Socialism as well as you do, but the reality is that at least two major figures that are influencing a LOT of Democrats are outright calling themselves socialists and socialism is what THEY are taking to our young people. YOU’RE people are the ones pretending that socialism is different than the “textbook” definition. They call it " democratic Socialism" to hide the truth.
Tell you what: You guys tell the truth about your end goal which is: a government controlled wealth redistribution welfare state that controls it’s people by making everyone equally impoverished and miserable. And don’t forget to leave out the part where the “leaders” ( which naturally includes yourself) are exempt from the system and free to amass as much wealth and power as they wish. You agree to this and I’ll stop calling it Socialism too…

You guys have spend decades trying to re-write history to paint the Founders as “regular guys” - but that has almost no relationship to actual history.
