No. We got Trump because the GOP picked him. This is what the GOP wanted for its future. This is what it got. Even when the turdbag loses or leaves office the GOP will be The Party of Trump for a long time after. Y’all had 16 other choices. This is what The Party wanted. Those are the feet this should be lain at.

Nope. Blathering about “hur hurr helped Hillary get elected” is partisan claptrap that just deflects.
Let me just reiterate:
I’d like to have an earnest discussion, instead of having to sift through the partisan claptrap that seems to be the brunt of your offering to this discussion.
If you don’t want to, that’s fine, but I’ll keep calling out your partisan claptrap and deflections for what they are.
Nothing would change if you got your way and we went to a popular vote. All the less populated states would get ignored because the most votes would be in 9 or 10 states with the most population.
If it was changed to every states gets 50 EC votes than they would campaign in every state because there would not be Calif with 55 EC votes and Nebraska with 5. There would not be Calif. with a large population and Alaska with a small population.
We know why you all want to change things. You are having a hard time shoving through the looney ideas you have. And you think that if you could just silence those rural states that sometimes get their candidate elected you could have the utopia you envision.
Why should Montana have their votes weighted more than California or Texas?
We are advocating for 1 person 1 vote. All votes are weighted the same.

That wasnt even the original point.
In a system with a popular vote you have to be kidding if you think they would ever go to a state with a small population. They would spend all their time in the 9 or 10 states with the most population.
In the 21st Century, with so many more powerful ways to meet people electronically than holding a rally for a few thousand people, why do you think this would matter? We are not conducting 18th Century campaigns, we don’t need 18th Century electoral mechanisms.

Why wouldn’t they go to a small state? Every vote in that state would count towards their total.
I dunno. I like the thought of new election laws that state you can only speak to your constituents if you’re in a horse-drawn carriage or standing on the back of a train.

We got Trump because it was her turn.

I don’t know what that means.

Zero personal responsibility these days. It’s like they didn’t pick Trump from a lineup of 16 other folks.
I believe the opposite to be true. Now there is little reason for candidates to spend resources in deep blue or red states. Instead they use the majority of their resources in battle ground states.
No such thing as getting over it? You certainly seem to have not. But I digress. Everything…is not…black and…or…white you know?
The electoral college does not benefit rural America at all. It only benefits the high population states and areas.
No where did you even attempt to refute any of my points.
