Should Biden add the new Syrian leader to his list of pardons?

Biden recently expressed support for the new government in Syria run by the jihadist group, HTS.

“It’s a moment of historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria to build a better future for their proud country,” he said from the White House’s Roosevelt Room.

While HTS originated with the Syrian Al Qaeda, it now claims to value tolerance towards ethnic and religious minorities after years of alleged abuses in areas that they have controlled. Does tolerance mean using the right pronouns of infidels before you kill them or sell them into slavery?

Meanwhile the US State Department still has $10 million reward for the leader of HTS.

The UK government is reportedly moving to remove HTS from the list of terrorist organizations.

Is it time for Biden to pardon the leader of HTS?

Is it time to “make Al Queda great again”?

This must have been a bad few days for you and Putin.

We need to honor Americans who fought and died in the decades’ long war on terror by welcoming the new Al-Qaeda-linked government in Syria. Take that Putin!

Anything else is just repeating a Kremlin talking point.

Let bygones be bygones if it supports the current narrative . . .

Did Assad fly jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?

■■■■ Assad.

No but then again neither did these guys. All the guys that performed and planned it are dead now.

Assad was a piece of ■■■■ who earned his own ouster by being awful. You gas your own people, don’t be surprised when the most radical among them come kick you out of your palace.

He’s lucky he didn’t end up like Gaddafi.

At least in Afghanistan we fought for nearly 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

In Syria, Biden has succeeded in replacing a secular dictator who never attacked the US with a jihadist-terrorist dictator with links to 9-11 attacks.

Yes, the people of Middle East should be more grateful for US-led “humanitarian interventions”.

Should Biden pardon the HTS leader and drop the reward for his arrest?

Yes or no would be a good starting point.

Depends. I wouldn’t say formally pardon him but unless we are gonna ostracize the new Syrian regime right off of the bat we should probably take him off the terror list. Whether we like it or not we will probably have to deal with him.

Terrorism is no big deal so long as the perpetrator serves US interests?

It’s a big deal but there are times when you don’t have much of a choice but to work with terrorists.

The evil dictatorship is dead. Long live the evil dictatorship.

Having Suni Arab jihadists in charge may be no big deal if you are a Suni Arab. That is not true for other religious and ethnic groups.

Genocidal dictators are cool so long as they help Russia. Then they get luxury dachas in Moscow when their own people overthrow them.

They are only considered “genocidal dictators” when they are designated as enemies of the US.

The left loved Russia when it was ran by genocidal dictators. China too.

Looks like the rebels may let the Russian bases remain.
