Doesn’t excuse him in my opinion.
An actor should be required to physically check if a firearm is loaded or unloaded in front of a witness as soon as they are handed a firearm.

A 2 second check would have prevented this tragedy, 2 damn seconds. Pop the cylinder, see the round in there, empty said cylinder then fire the armorour who handed you the loaded firearm.

Of course…you’re so much smarter then me.

And that is usually how it’s done.

Maybe, MAYBE this will change their entitled, selfish minds.
Doubt it, but one can hope.

Fact is Baldwin failed one of most simplest safety checks their is concerning a firearm. There is no way to explain it otherwise.

There were clearly many steps that should have been taken - all of which would have prevented this tragedy.

But that doesn’t change how criminal laws work.

You didn’t start this thread, in part, because you don’t like Baldwin?

It won’t.

Quite a good number of people in my industry die from falling asleep at the wheel because of lack of adequate rest.

It was one of the issues that people were going to strike about.

That barely got addressed in the contract negotiations.

People never matter. Money does.

Of course not, he is white, rich, and famous…

Oh wait…isn’t that the EXACT same scenario that the left raises hell about???
Rich white man gets away with a crime BECAUSE he is rich and white.
Or is it because the victim was a white woman that the left doesn’t care if he isn’t charged.

Help a guy out here.

All of those things are dumb and made up.

From all available evidence, no crime was committed.

All the populism nonsense is just silly.

When in doubt go to the law. Involuntary manslaughter under New Mexico Law link attached. 30-2-3 (B) applies. "Involuntary manslaughter consists of manslaughter committed in the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to felony, or in the commission of a lawful act which might produce death in an unlawful manner or without due caution and circumspection.

The question wasn’t about one movie, but movies being filmed in general. Didn’t someone earlier in this thread comment he wouldn’t be charged because it might cause people to reconsider filming in New Mexico??

I posted that a few hours ago.

Legally, what caution do you think was due?

Yes, someone did make that asinine argument.

Why would it?

WOW the disconnect here is amazing. Take out the “mean to his daughter” and we have the EXACT same thing the left does whenever a wealthy, white conservative is not charged with a crime. If it had been one of the rare conservative actors the left would be screaming for his head.

In another thread consistency was brought up, seems to me there is a lack of it here.

That is not why he would be charged.

Look at it this way.

There are thousands of incidents on TV and Films using firearms per year.

We can point to three accidents. In a few decades.

Things like this happen because of negligence all up and down the chain.

I understand that’s the narrative you’re working from.

But it’s silly. Projection and justification.

I thoroughly encourage you to find a single post of mine inconsistent with any I’ve made in this thread.

Marines don’t have “Battle Buddies”…lmao
Do you realize how ummm childish that actually sounds? LMAO

Sorry, have been waiting forever to say that.
Love ya Brother!!!
