Even basic biology states that something with organs and an organ system is an organism. A separate organism. Does this sound like a tumor? A cluster of cells? No.

Roe V Wade is a compromise between two equal and competing rights, the right to life and the right to body autonomy.

It is impossible for one of the two individuals involved to exercise that right without sever infringement.

That is why we have a compromise.

I am sorry that this upsets people, but without this compromise we get a lot more dead women.

One issue is alot of women dont know they are till after 6 weeks. That’s a 2 week window if they catch it.

Doesn’t matter. A patient in the ICU may not have any awareness, but the doctors do everything they can to save them and relieve their suffering. Technically, they are not yet viable until 8 years post-birth, because that is when the alveoli cells are finished developing.

A person in the ICU can have a DNR and Someone with power of attorney.

The point is that before a fetus is viable it doesn’t even have the physical capacity of awareness. It just doesn’t really exist yet.

And yes that line is blurry, but a line had to be set somewhere with the understanding that the woman involved has a right to her own body also.

That no one can take that away from her, including a fetus that is inside her.

It is two competing and equal moral rights with no clear answer.

That is why I hate this black and white discussion, because the issue is anything but black and white.

I will be working today I dont have access to my bible right now, but just off the top of my head, the flood, sodom and gomorrah, Egypt, the canaanites, David’s son(have to double check that), and depending on your interpretation, end times. Specific scriptures I will cite after work.

God was not killing babies in those stories, he was killing populations which included babies. There is no Biblical verse in which God deliberately killed babies. The closest thing I can think of is when he allowed Satan to kill all of Job’s children.

Besides, those are parables, not historic accounts.
