He is not opposed to environmentalism but he thinks it should be enacted by business professionals not by caffeinated high school kids.

German industrial production unexpectedly fell in November, official data showed Tuesday, the sixth straight monthly drop and the latest sign of weakness for Europe’s top economy.
Output slipped 0.7 percent on the previous month, after a revised fall of 0.3 percent in October, federal statistics agency Destatis said. . . .

German production factories are under pressure because gas cost is high day by day increase rates. Technology companies are thinking about to transfer production unit.
The result was a huge budget deficit that exceeded constitutional limits. A German court recently ruled that Germany cannot continue the budget deficits.
Expect rising energy costs and more deindustrialization in Germany.
