On the plus side, this new found concern for women is refreshing.
Regarding drag kings, I know nothing about them.Never seen a drag king honestly.
I don’t really think drag queens are exactly “ making fun” of women. What I perceive them doing is emulating a hyper sexualized caricature of women. I am not offended by them doing so, but I do think it is not something that children should be exposed to.
I was a bartender for many years when my kids were young. I was able to work a few nights a week after my husband was home from work and they were tucked into bed. As you can imagine, I have heard many a men say if they were women, they would be rich. Drag queens just take that to the nth degree. I’m sure we all can tell the difference between Mrs Doubtfire and a drag queen.
Y’all keep on trying to defend adults and school sponsored inappropriate contact with children and the less faith I have in society in general. I feel like exposing children to this type of thing does harm them and confuse them.
Once kids are in high school. They certainly know this type of thing exists. But they still don’t need the school having anything to do with it. They also know that drugs are everywhere and we don.t need to have school sponsored “ let’s try cocaine” day and don’t tell your parents. Or lets have “ piercers from tattoo shops come and pierce the kids and hang them from their piercing from wires at a school events. Don’t tell your parents, we see nothing wrong if that’s what you are into and you have the right to keep that private, and we can help facilitate that for you.
Why don’t we let kids be kids for as long as they can? Let them live free from all that adulthood has to offer until they need to know.

I guess the question is, what is “inappropriate contact with children”? Some here would say that any contact between a drag queen and a youth would be inappropriate. My view is that as long as the contact isn’t sexual in nature, its fine. I place drag in the same category as clowns or mimes. The inappropriateness all comes down to the content of their act. Any acts that are meant to mimic a strip club (be it sexual dancing or tipping) I believe to be inappropriate. But if the act is just like dancing, lip syncing, and/or acting like a runway model, I don’t see the issue.
I feel like exposing children to this type of thing does harm them and confuse them.
I just don’t see how that could be beyond maybe a clown phobia. I think the idea that a boy would see a drag queen and suddenly question their own sexuality or gender to be highly illogical.
But we do have plenty of school programs about how drugs are bad and you shouldn’t do drugs. I see no difference between a drag queen coming and doing a show about inclusivity vs a rock band coming and doing a concert about being drug free.
Because that’s just not realistic. There’s no sudden switch from childhood to adulthood… its a slow drawn out transition. Short of homeschooling, kids are going to be exposed to media and their peers who have also been exposed to media. Take twerking for example. My kids somehow got exposed to it early on, despite our best efforts, and I was basically in a position where I was trying to explain that its a inappropriate dance for children because of its sexual nature before we’d had the birds and the bees chat. I remember in the 90s in 5th grade this nasty boy in my class thinking it was funny to ask the girls for oral for 25 cents. It’s hard to block kids from this stuff, so its best to take the bull by the horns and be the one explaining it before they are instead learning about it from their peers.
How many drag shows have you seen that were not overtly sexual in nature?

I’m sure I’ll get ■■■■ for this, but I haven’t been to a drag show (as I’ve said previously, I don’t like them). But I know its possible to have one that isn’t sexual because its simply a matter of not talking about sex or doing strip-club like dances. And drag queen story hour is certainly not sexual since they’re just sitting there reading a book dressed like a clown.

Thank you Gov. DeSantis for looking to enforce laws protecting children against exposure to sexually explicit activity!
The grooming of children and normalizing sexual deviant activity in their minds must be ended and those responsible for such exposures need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

There is no “humanitarian crisis” at our southern border as erroneously reported on Fox News. It is an outright invasion of the United States, intentionally orchestrated and perpetuated by the leadership of our tyrannical federal government which includes traitorous, judges, legislators, and our current president of the United States.

When I was a kid, these pervert adult entertainment establishments in and around Broadway and 42nd street, NYC, had their windows painted over so the public would not be subjected to their perverted “adult entertainment”.

Dressed like women.
I don’t think women have dressed like that since Tammy Fay Baker and she was certainly clownish.

These sexual deviants need to be severely punished for their assault on innocent and impressionable children.

Libs are against religious world views being forced on kids in school but are pro pride activism in schools unsolicited. If these people march in events, assemble as a group and wave around emblems you could argue that gay pride is their religion. It’s amazing that they were Anti unsolicited views on kids in the 90s and now they are for it. Typical Tyranny of the Majority! My worldview is more important than yours, shut up and take it or you’re a bigot.
