You know that is not the same thing at all. Dressing in women’s clothes and telling a few naughty’ jokes while putting on a skit is not the same as this:
Do they sing a certain song by Lady with explicit lyrics? Is this what the kiddies are watching?
An “All Ages” drag show was held on Wednesday in Austin, Texas called “A Drag Queen Christmas,” which was performed in front of over 20 children and featured performers doing acts like “tits in a box,” simulated sex, spankings, and telling stories of sexual encounters.
You know damn well a skit performed by men in women’s clothing and women in men’s clothing is not the same damn thing so quit trying to equate the two.
I have asked that question with no reply as of yet. Why is it so important that their audience be children? Silence. Well, except for cries of bigot, etc. Standard crap.
This wasn’t actually an “all ages” show. Someone ■■■■■■ up and listed it as such. If you do any search on this show or look at the info for future dates most list it as having adult content and/or being 18+.
If any children were at this show, and it sounds like there were, then that’s on the parent.
Its dishonest to imply this is the sort of content that would be shown at an actual drag show that is marketed as family/child friendly or performed in a school.
The word most negates your argument. Some places obviously thought it wasn’t appropriate. Your word most means you know some didn’t by not putting those restrictions on.
Anouther one of those lib "oops our bad that was a mistake"
Yea, their youtube description says, “All ages welcome - but remember - it’s a Drag Show!” which admittedly doesn’t help that argument that not all drag shows are adult themed.
I take it back, upon further research, I don’t think it was a mistake. The age restriction I think is venue based, not content based.
Still, I put the blame on the parents if they took their kids here thinking it would be family friendly only to discover its full of adult themes. The contents of the show are pretty easy to learn about.
I agree its on the parents. In my mind its the same as parents taking their kids to an R movie.
I would not take my kids to an adult drag show or a R movie.
But it does seem that here in the US exposing your child to extreme violence and horror is acceptable but my god show them the human body and its the end of the world.
Adult performers for a weird audience. They can do as they please and answer to the higher laws. Bring in children and they are moral filth and just insane.
Wow someone in what looks like a thong. Dont take your kids to the beach.
But as someone else posted the fact this was billed as an adult show its all on the parents. I am sure right wingers take their kids to see movies like Saw and Hostel and see nothing wrong with that.
