A couple years ago I probably would have argued with you about this. But Biden is getting harder and harder to defend. This administration either wants unchecked, unregulated immigration, or it has failed in its duty to prevent it.

Immigration is a long term, complex set of problems. Congress needs to act on many different levels. Not the President, whomever that President may be.

There’s nothing complex about immigration. Immigration as practiced by virtually every other industrialized country is designed to bring in people based on the economic needs of the country. It is also carefully structured as to not bring in people - both in quality and numbers - that will have a detrimental impact on the social programs offered by the countries. What is happening at the border is not immigration. The US already has numerous immigration laws on the books for people to come in and work in the US legally.

The senate will pass the bill. It’s Trump through Mike Johnson that will kill the bill.

First off it’s not “ready to go”, and it remains to be seen if it gets any Republican support. And if the House doesn’t like it they have every right to push their bill.

It’s a bipartisan bill. It already has Republican support.
