because that was everyone who was admitted to the VA hospital system with the virus.

did you not read it at all?

I do. I read the study.

In fact, I’ve quoted it in this thread. You are incorrect.

They did not “pick” anyone.

They picked 368 patients across hundreds facilities and one specific week.

They even admit the issue with age and race in their report although it never got mentioned till we started discussing it.

during that one specific week there was only 368 people across thousands of VA facilities with the virus.

This isn’t exactly correct - they didn’t “test” anyone. They took the data from VA records.

You must then be able to show that. Right?

…and in those hundreds of facilities, during that week, there were 368 patients admitted with confirmed cases of COVID 19.

Of course they did, otherwise they would have used a much larger sample, either way, they chose the criteria as to who was included.

It’s right there in the study.

Read it.

Ok then you must be able to provide that data. Right?

It isn’t documented anywhere, they simply state it.

Where is the supporting data?

They took the information directly from VA records.

Yes. They did - and they published their criteria right there in the study. That’s how it’s done.

As I’ve now repeated too many times to count, these were the criteria:

  1. Have been admitted to a VA hospital;
  2. Between the dates specified;
  3. With a laboratory-comfirmed COVID diagnosis; and
  4. Complete medical documentation.

We’re supposed to simply take that on faith?

They won’t defend their research or the study itself which speaks volumes, it wasn’t even a peer reviewed study.

clearly you think they lied,
and clearly nothing we state is going to change your opinion.

No and that’s not how you document your data.

Let’s see all VA Admissions for that week.

I think if you publish any research or a study it’s on you to thoroughly document it, show your data, and defend it. That’s how a “study” get’s “peer reviewed”.

No, they didn’t. Where are the admissions records and stat’s?

Do you expect me to have access to that information?

If you’re accusing the authors of the study of fabricating data and manipulating their population, you’re going to have to back that up.

As they stated in the study, they got their data from a database query of the networked VA records across the country.
