Republican’s extremely poor fundraising this cycle is really starting to hurt. The NRSC is going to hybrid ads only and obviously is going to have to write off several candidates, particularly Kari Lake.
Democrats are doing very well in fundraising, so this could clearly mean the difference in a couple of races.
As I don’t see any well heeled donors coming over the hill to bail out Republicans at this late hour, they are really going to have to target what little money they have with great wisdom.
They needed to be buying up those ad blocs several months ago if they hoped to have any parity with their dollars compared to PACs and other party orgs.
I would have thought they’d have seen that coming within seconds of Trump nepotising the entire NRC apparatus and subsuming it into the Presidential campaign.
I mentioned this a few months ago that the RNC was for whatever reason really slacking in their fund raising. The democrats were out and about rattling the tin can.
As a result they have a formidable ground campaign for all the races.
I have to wonder if the machination’s to get Laura Trump into the co chair postion on the RNC was a distraction for the Republicans?
It does seem the RNC is now wholly focused on getting Trump elected at the expense of other races.
