IMNSHO, Congress should have been locked into their respective chambers with cots and not allowed to leave until they did their job.

If hundreds of thousands of American’s are going to be put out or work and not paid (or delayed pay) because of their last minute posturing, they (Congress) shouldn’t have been allowed to leave to enjoy Christmas at home with their families.

The House refuses to bring the passed legislation to the floor for a vote. The Republican-led House. The Republican Party that is led by President Donald Trump. This is all on them. Nice try. Lol

It’s so weird that Donald Trump and his supporters are trying to blame the shutdown on the Democrats when Republicans hold House/Senate/Presidency, AND when a bipartisan bill passed the Senate.

Desperation. They know that the Republicans played them for fools for the whole two years they had everything and never attempted to get the wall funded.

And now they are making this stupid show vote at the 11th hour that they know won’t pass because they understand that their base is pissed at them. It’s a joke. And they fully own every bit of it too. And they know it. Which is why the GOP Senate was upset that Trump reneged on his willingness to sign the CR they passed.
The GOP knows this hurts them badly.

Their blind supporters will say anything because it is party first for them. So I don’t listen to them much.
