The border isn’t the problem. It’s the loopholes and lack of interior enforcement allowing illegals to stay once they make it past the border. When ICE started ramping up interior enforcement, Dems called for abolishing them. Makes sense, right?

An isolated few called for ICE to be abolished but I seem to remember that it didn’t go anywhere and was just a few people speaking up in anger. I for one have no problem with the federal government doing their job.

And the calls were for ICE to be rolled into another division of the DOJ. Not for immigration enforcement to just be nonexistent. That’s the lie that the Republicans tried to spin.

If someone has applied for asylum and is released pending court application for review…

They’re legally able to walk around and be here as long as they keep up with their court dates and such. The same as anyone walking around out on bail awaiting their court date.

The 9th circuit ruled that Trump could not end DACA giving him nothing to negotiate with. Of course Shumer rejected the empty offer.

The negotiation was for a legislative solution…otherwise why negotiate at all. EO and DACA are not good ideas…Thanks Obama.
