The Italian Fascist arose from the Marxist. They moderated their views in hopes of using the old elites to try to achieve some of socialism’s goals. This, a clown Commie I’ve chatted with, has been characterized as kissing the feet of the landlords.
But in their underlying assumptions of government’s place, it’s primacy, attitudes about the party, and the ability of regular folks to get by without being managed they changed little.
Fascism, which is bad enough, is simply the most moderate form of the ideological crapfest that includes it, socialism and communism (you will not find Adam Smith or the Founders and Framers anywhere within that arc), and is only the “far right” because of where people once sat in certain legislatures and not because of some truth about it.
