Of course, crime rates, both violent and property, are far lower today than they were 35 years ago.

And of course violent crime is lower than 45 years ago, the last time you saw the city.

Seattle’s biggest issue is income inequality, which has next to nothing to do with local leadership’s politics and everything to do with massive growth and its impact on the cost of housing.

Humane incapacitation is the best our system in its current form provides. Anything people do to improve their lots is with support outside of the system, be it family, friends, religion, etc.
