No new programs were created for the farm subsidies, they are under a program APPROVED by congress a long time ago.

Absolutely. Because it is cheaper to do so. Years ago it was much cheaper to have things repaired. The mentality is also to buy cheaper products and forfeit service. Of course many people expect both but that is rarely the case.

I try to upsell customers to more premium products. Specifically I try to get them to buy the OEM equivalent quality components. Toyotas, for example, use ceramic brake pads.

Getting people to buy them is a hassle. Iā€™ll have people come in with two year old cars and plainly state ā€œI want the cheapest brake pads you have.ā€ On cars that are young. But then they come back and complain about brake noise. But they wouldnā€™t buy the new anti rattle clips either. And they donā€™t turn or change their rotors so they act incensed when their pads are worn unevenly after just a few months.

People are nearly impossible to please.

Are a lot of Americans paying for those unexpected visits to various medical facilities with cash? Letā€™s say a kid got a sore throat or middle aged adult is having joint pain.

Are a lot of people paying for unexpected visits & expensive prescription drugs with cash? Sorry I donā€™t think health insurance is equal to a purchase at a store when there are other stores one prefers.

They are relics of the past that failed to keep up with modern times and the majority today probably never shopped at either.

I know I havenā€™t set foot in either in at least 15 years (our K-Mart closed 3 years ago and our Sears is in the process of shuttering right now).

If the majority of creditors (minus the one that submitted a questionable bid) donā€™t like it, the judge wonā€™t accept it (also if he feels the best interest of creditors will be liquidation).
