WHY ARE ASYMPTOMATIC CASES OF CORONAVIRUS ON THE RISE AND WHAT CAN WE LEARN ABOUT THE VIRUS FROM THOSE PATIENTS?
AS THE CORONAVIRUS CONTINUES TO SPREAD ACROSS THE GLOBE, WE’VE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THIS NEFARIOUS PATHOGEN.
ONE IMPORTANT OBSERVATION? MANY PEOPLE WITH COVID-19 WILL HAVE NO SYMPTOMS AT ALL. AND YET…THESE “ASYMPTOMATIC” PATIENTS CAN SPREAD THE VIRUS TO OTHERS.
WHAT STILL REMAINS A MYSTERY IS WHY SOME PATIENTS HAVE NO SIGNS OF ILLNESS …WHILE OTHERS ARE SO SICK, THEY HAVE TO BE HOSPITALIZED AND INTUBATED.
ONE POSSIBLE HYPOTHESIS? SOME EXPERTS THINK PREVIOUS EXPOSURE TO A CORONAVIRUS MAY GIVE YOU SOME “PRE-EXISTING IMMUNITY” THAT PREVENTS OR AUGMENTS THE ILLNESS YOU GET WITH COVID-19.
OF COURSE, A LOT OF RESEARCH IS STILL NEEDED INTO WHY COVID-19 HAS SUCH A WIDE RANGE OF SYMPTOMS.
AND AS I MENTIONED, ASYMPTOMATIC PATIENTS CAN STILL SPREAD THE DISEASE.
SO…EVEN IF YOU FEEL WELL, PLEASE STAY HOME AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING TO PROTECT THOSE MORE VULNERABLE THAN YOU.

Chaffetz penned a piece today for Fox News about our nation and China, and how the dependency must stop:
Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz on Thursday agreed with Attorney General Bill Bar on the notion that China is the biggest threat to the United States.
“Long term and short term, China has the resources and they’re generally much smarter and much quieter about how they go about corporate espionage, espionage on our government and on our military,” the former Utah Republican congressman told “Fox & Friends.”
Chaffetz noted that China exerts influence economically over the U.S. and pointed out that President Trump’s move to create a military Space Force was based on countering China.
“There’s a reason why Trump put up a Space Force. China is a big part of the reason why to do that.”

Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell accused House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff late Tuesday of “politicizing” the intelligence community by leaking concerns about personnel changes to the press.
Schiff, D-Calif., on Tuesday, penned a letter to Grenell laying out his concerns with the acting director’s staffing changes in the Office of National Intelligence.
But Grenell slammed Schiff, saying the press received that letter before he did.
“His letter was sent to the press before it was sent to me,” Grenell tweeted late Tuesday. “These press leaks politicizing the intelligence community must stop.”
