I should note that the “bureaucrats” are not really responsible for these agency decisions, other than the legwork. It is the political appointees who ultimately make policy.
While “bureaucrats” can theoretically slow down the process by foot dragging, they cannot stop the process nor can they MAKE policy.
Which is why I support overturning Chevron, but, at the same time, oppose attempts to prune the civil service via schemes like Schedule F or otherwise.
Ultimately it is political appointees of both parties who make policy and THAT is what today’s decision will reign in.

Congress makes laws. Now you want them to enforce them as well?

Bureaucrats are the folks that choose to work for the government, usually for less pay than the private sector…although they do get good benefits. These are the experts in their field.
This is just a way to get rid of regulations, or the ability to enforce them. This is a gift to big business to do whatever they want… with little oversight.
History shows how well that works out.

You want congress enforcing the laws they write?
Why dont we just let businsses regulate themselves?

Statutes like this, yes. They are supposed to maintain oversight.

This is just stopping the executive from stretching the law to suit a partisan objective. Executive regulation writing usually ends up amending the law. Amending the law is congress’ lane.

No it isn’t. Not in the real world of federal judges
It is much easier for a Republican admin to fire bureaucrats and rewrite regs
President Trump managed just fine at that during his administration.
Good luck removing a judge.
That’s not necessarily true. Not even close. They are experts in being bureaucrats.
They hire outside consultants often which is fine. Just don’t assume they are experts.

The chevron ruling was specifically written to help the Regan admin stretch an epa reg

It was a bad ruling. He should have went to congress from the bully pulpit to get it done.

They have their own special interest groups. In this case most of the time it’s big business that helps creating that bureaucracy…thus driving out small business.

There are over 30k people who work in DC…many are Bureaucrats…the majority are people simply working for a living…when I say experts, I mean they are trained and/or educated in the field they are working in. I have been doing my current job for nearly 30 years…in that time I have gotten pretty good at it. Am I an expert? Probably not…buy I know what I am doing.
You really should read Infinite Jest.

Yes…due to Newt…many have to rely on lobbyists, as he fired all the in house government experts to cut costs.
assessing fines is not enforcing the law, its applying a punishment
