You took the words right from my mouth.

The scenario presented can quite clearly be avoided with an easy, sensible solution.

Write the standards. Put them in the company’s employment contract/handbook. And when the professional dress standards are violate, follow the same procedures for refusing to adhere to any other company policy.

NO DISCRIMINATION.

Does that apply to smokers?

Are they race, religion, etc?

That guy left 3 years ago. :+1:

So you write down “If you hired as a man, you will remain a man and wear men’s clothing for the term of your employment”?

No appreciable difference between homosexuals and smokers, they both chose unhealthy lifestyles. I see absolutely no good evidence people are “born that way”.

Exactly. This is basic employment practices 101 stuff. People involved in the hiring of others should already know these fairly basic facts. And if not, then they have not done their due diligence when it comes to their role as a hiring manager, or officer of an organization.

You aren’t going to be permitted to write down no female clothing or makeup worn by men.

What it is is high modernism.

So, you detest a lesbian wanting to only marry another lesbian, or a homosexual male wanting to marry another homosexual male.

Why do you have such a problem with people being free to mutually agree in their contracts and associations?

You are the one who declared “NO DISCRIMINATION.”

That was an exceedingly asinine response to what was posted.

Feel free to try again, or not. I don’t care.

Why would you hire someone “as a man”?

Yep.

It’s cute to imagine up scenarios like that, but they don’t hold up when the scenario doesn’t reflect the reality of how businesses tend to operate.

How? That’s exactly what happened.

can I fire people for being Christian?

When did you choose to be a heterosexual?

Because that’s the way they presented themselves when I hired them.
