So to be a non sheep you have to reject science, medical advice, and the common good. Got it.

I wonder if you were to use an animal to describe yourself, what is that animal? I am a sheep, you are a …?

Yeah. I don’t know that I have seen such an explicit and blanket repudiation before though.

I mean science = sheep. That’s quite a bold statement right there,

read what? facebook? twitter? QAnon writings?
People are reading from all sources and only listen to the sources they chose.

Just as much as agendized “fact checkers”. Or Joe Biden.

See, that’s the point the OP is raising. Today we’re politicizing “expertise” and “science” (as opposed to SCIENCE). In the current arena of debate, “science” gets limited to the set of studies that supports one’s agenda. So yes, a newspaper editor and/or a youtube “influencer” and/or a Swedish kid gets elevated to “expert”.

He has no problem if YOU CHOOSE to do so.

The pushback is against government taking away that choice from everyone.

I have every confidence that you actually know the difference.

Look up. You cheered it.

People’s decision not to get vaccinated is what is keeping this pandemic alive in America.

Well the last thing is stupid and shouldn’t happen.

But also, we have seen an erosion in the concept of the consensus opinion.

It isn’t a new thing, and I see it happening with Covid.

This is all well and good re: things that only affect the individual, but the issue here is, someone’s mask decisions affect the people around him/her as well.

It’s like smoking - of course it’s an individuals decision to smoke or not smoke and they will bear the consequences of either decision. But smoking in public affects those around you possibly in a negative way, so therefore, it is not up tot he individual as to wether they can light up in a bar or movie theatre.

People have died. That’s seems significant enough for me. How about you?

Bill’s statement didn’t say how widespread those significant side effects are. He just said that they exist. Suggesting he said something more is just putting words into his mouth.

Where have I heard that before?
