School Starts Monday

If you don’t think girls bully other girls in christian schools, you are delusional.

He told this same story on the old forum.

Like confiscating things that don’t belong to you and sharing them with other people?

You were asked if you had extra which is very different to what duck said which was that the students had to turn in all their school supplies.

This is not sharing. Nor does it teach kids about fairness or sharing. What it does teach them is that their belongings can be taken away by an arbitrary decision of the person in charge without due process or justice.

Janet, this post is not directed at you.

Problem is he tells lots of stories about stuff and many times they are proven untrue and then he falls back on being ill. Recently he claimed to know nothing about the law after claiming to be former police for years.

I was doing some research about this. And some teachers do collect everything from all students especially in younger grades. But all supplies are kept in the classroom and given to the kids as they need them to keep them from using unnecessary things like colouring when the teacher is teaching math. I was reading this teachers blog where she covers this practice with all the whys.

So basically I take my school supplies into class and when I need them my teacher gives them to me. Very very different to the socialist nightmare that duck said was happening at a school. Again the teacher has no right to take my child’s school supplies and give them to someone else. As I said that is theft.

Once again I suspect duck is completely misinformed about a situation or is slightly exaggerating the reality.

The teacher even suggested on the first day have the parents there talk to them and have them help.

She also suggests sharpening all pencils yourself as a teacher giving them 2 to keep during the lesson so they are not wasting time at the pencil sharpener. But what she is really teaching them is do nothing for yourself and let the government take care of you.

You would disagree if I hacked your bank account and gave your $$ to a homeless guy.

And I would fully agree that what you just described IS sharing, and a good lesson for kids.

The OP’s incident as it was described is NOT sharing.

Seems like you do not have authority to go into my account try again.

After reading a teacher’s blog on this it isn’t anything other than keeping kids from getting distracted in school.

You read “a teacher’s blog”. Unless it was the teacher that the OP described, you’re not examining the example being discussed in this thread.

PRECISELY!!! It’s stealing.

Likewise, the teacher who took the property of all students in the class and redistributed it should not have had the authority to that either.

Nope because teachers have authority in the classroom.

Apples and oranges.

The Drs example is like a bank account. Kids receive from their own stash of stuff that is held for them.

The Duck example takes 100 of supplies from all kids, puts it all in a common stash, and redistributes (REdistributes!) to kids – whether or not any of their stuff actually went into the common pool.

To steal?

That’s dangerous.

And given the topic of the forum this thread is in, there is nothing Christian about that.

Let’s see teacher who plays out the process the whys and suggestions for kids who get anxious about handing things over versus a person who suffers from partisan driven "memories " which in the past have been proven wrong.
I will take the blog.

They are not stealing the kids still need to use their supplies so they are just giving them to someone else while your kid does without.

Use your head man.

If the school did that then you would have to replace everything.
