Say it ain't so, groups of non-white, non-Christians are opposed to the Left wanting to indoctrinate their children?

For the Left it’s always easy and comfortable to attack white Christians as racists, stupid, backwards, etc., as many facets of the Left - Hollywood, media, etc. - disdain Christianity in general and white Christians in particular. What I have found interesting over the past decade or so is how the Left talks about Islam and Muslims in a much more positive light. So this particular battle is going to be interesting to watch as more and more Muslim parents start fighting back against the LGBTQ indoctrination of their children.

While parents of all ethnicities and religions are involved, Muslim parents have been playing a central role in all of these cases, both as organisers and protesters, and their highly visible presence is creating waves on social media.

It is understandable for parents to be concerned. In Maryland, for example, a school district has approved books that discuss homosexuality and transgenderism as normal realities for children as young as three years old. This is state-sponsored ideological indoctrination of toddlers who can barely form complete sentences, much less think critically.

Parents have a God-given duty and legal right to provide moral instruction and guidance to their children. This includes the right of parents and their children to reject ideologies that contravene their beliefs.

Yet, supposedly secular institutions like public schools are now dictating that students must accept and affirm LGBTQ ideology, at times with the threat that if they refuse to do so, they “do not belong” in their country, as one teacher in Edmonton, Canada, recently said to a Muslim student.

As Muslims, we refuse to be coerced into believing something our faith categorically condemns. This is not a political stance. It is a moral principle.

Hamtramck’s Muslim council has just voted to ban Pride flags: the rainbow-coloured symbols of the LGBT community.

Karen Majewski, a former mayor of the city, said there was “a sense of betrayal”. Frankly, I suspect that what local liberals are mostly feeling is bewilderment. After all, if a Christian council had banned the Pride flag, liberals would have known exactly how to respond. Denounce the council for its queerphobic bigotry, and lead a furious protest march against heteronormative, patriarchal white supremacy. Simple.

Unfortunately, though, this council isn’t Christian. As a result, American liberals are being forced to contemplate an awkward dilemma. Their whole purpose in life is to defend marginalised minorities. But what should they do when one marginalised minority marginalises another marginalised minority? Whose side should they take?

Applying a Christian phrase that is quite appropriate right now…I’d say libs are stuck between a rock and a hard place…which concerning our children in all of this garbage…is a good thing.

Politics has been largely easy for today’s Dems as it is comfortable, along with largely no repercussions, for them to go after white Christians, but the reality is that many non-white parents also have religious convictions and are now also finding out about what the Dems want to push on their children, and what do know, they don’t like it either!

I’d say the same thing to a Muslim as I’d say to a Christian.

You are fine to control what your kid learns.

You are not fine to control what every other kid learns.

How is that the case when it has been mandated in some schools?

BAM…problem solved. Let’s all agree on this and put it into practice across the nation. As it’s being done, consider the beautiful state of California and what this mentality has done to it.

None of this belongs in schools. If parents want to teach thing like this at home, more power to them.

I don’t think it is asking too much for schools to ditch this and start focusing on the three R’s as it should be. Especially given that many students are seriously behind in the three R’s.

I totally agree…it shouldn’t be.

The problem is not solved by not allowing LGBTQ+ to even be mentioned, which is what the bulk of laws passed by those states trying to do so have mandated.

If you have religious issues with that, there are religious schools you can attend…or you can homeschool.

The public schools can’t cater to those who wish to marginalize other groups…and no matter how you want to suggest otherwise…this is what you wish to do.

Same way the public schools can’t cater to those who might not believe in evolution, or any other subject matter that appears to conflict with one’s religion.

Yes, multiculturalism is hard…the solution is not to pretend multiple cultures don’t exist and just cater to one culture over another.

…and yet, by deviating from simply teaching math, science, spelling, reading and history…but are teaching this LGBTQ agenda…that’s exactly what they’re doing. You’re speaking out of both sides of your mouth on this subject.

The only place in which it NEEDS to mentioned is in a school’s antibullying policy.

It isn’t the job of a public school to cater to anyone.

It is their job to educate in math, science, English, history and civics.

The actual goal is to produce adults who are not only competitive in this country but across the world making our country a shining beacon. Not to create controversy and confusion over meaningless issues like if you are boy or a girl.

If kids and parents want to have clubs or afterschool activities for LBGTQ then they should go in that direction. Not shoving down kids’ throats as part of the curriculum.

Then you have been looking very hard. Or you have blinders on.

Most on the left have the same regard for those that use religion to suppress people, no matter the religion. The color of their skin is not a factor. Many Muslim men treat women much worse than most of today’s Christian men.

Does that apply to all minorities?

Public schools need to teach more than those things,as there is a lot more to life than just that.
If one does not want their kids to be exposed to the society they live in, they can choose to home school or send to a private school. Too many kids do not have parents that have the ability and/or resources to cover all the aspects of being in a society.

No. They really don’t. School is a place that prepares you for being competitive via traditional education.

“More than those things” belong to the parents to teach outside of the classroom.

Agree to disagree…too many parents do not have the ability and/or resources to do that.

That is fact.

So what? Then stand outside of a grocery store asking for donation or to sell something like the kids do for Girl Scout cookies and sports trips.

You over-estimate how much time they spend on issues other than math, science, history, English, etc.

That’s how the moral panic is created…by getting you guys to believe they are spending 24/7 on LGBTQ and “equity”.

It’s the same moral panic that happened in the civil rights era…when sex Ed was first introduced…when in the 1980s there was a creation science revival.

Society changes and those that react think everyone else has to cater excessively to their need to not have society change. Because they are having a hard time finding their place in a changing society.

Wow…that is…hell, I do not know what that is.

Damn.
